Getting started with Safe{Wallet}

Connecting a Safe to Monerium.

Mobile:

Currently, using a Safe with Monerium on mobile is not supported.

This is due to a technical limitation: the Safe mobile app does not support the personal_sign method, which Monerium requires for authentication and signing.

Desktop:

Recommended: Use the Safe App

Launch Monerium inside the Safe App for seamless integration:

https://app.safe.global/apps/open?appUrl=https://monerium.app

🟢 Your Safe will be automatically detected, connected, and ready to be linked to Monerium.

Alternative: Use WalletConnect.

  1. In Monerium, choose WalletConnect when connecting your wallet.
  2. Copy the WalletConnect code.
  3. In Safe, click the WalletConnect icon (top bar) and paste the code.

⚠️ Stuck WalletConnect Session

In rare cases, WalletConnect may lock up and prevent any signature requests from triggering.

If this happens:

  1. Disconnect all WalletConnect sessions in Safe.
  2. Clear site data for monerium.app in your browser.

This will reset the connection and allow you to re-establish a fresh session.

On-chain vs. off-chain signatures.

All modern Safes default to using off-chain signatures.

We support both on-chain and off-chain signing, but strongly recommend off-chain signatures, especially when used within a Safe App.

ℹ️ When signing is in progress, it's important to leave the Monerium interface open.

Other routes - such as on-chain with WalletConnect - can lack visual feedback and can quickly become frustrating, particularly if the WalletConnect session gets stuck or disconnects.

We're fully aligned with the Safe vision and are actively working to improve these integrations. The experience will continue to improve over time.
